This is on a 2.5 cdx facelift. Lock the car up alarm may go off in a couple of mins a couple of hours or not at all. Getting a tech 2 on it next week what chances of finding the fault especially as it appears to be intermittent?? :-[ :-[ :-[ :'( :'( :'(

Am I correct in thinking this was a problem and didn't they put the bonnet switch on to the drivers side in the end :-[ :-[

Later facelift cars have the bonnet switch on the driver's side instead of the passenger side. However you'll find an alarm plug on the passenger side too. :-/ :y

Wasn`t the problem on teh Omega something to do with the bracket that holds the bonnet pin switch bending, so that not enough pressure was appllied to the switch when the bonnet was closed?
:-/
Most cars have similar problems with the bonnet pin, where even with the bonnet closed, the switch is still in the open position, or so close to this that a change intemperature can often cause it to trigger. Easy to diagnose, pull the wire off the pin, and see if you get a good nights sleep !

Well I've disconnected the bonnet switch and it's behaved itself so far looks like a little judicious bending of the bracket may be required
Thanks all :) :) :)
