From Vauxhall, Cam Gaskets, O rings, Cam Gasket Sealer £73
Plug Leads are stupid money about £200 when I asked :o
-
Ideally would prefer new, just so to eliminate any further problems...
Well I only need 1 banks worth of gaskets, so guessing will be around £35 then. Think I read once bottles are about 30-odd quid or so... Leads... a kidney...
-
I had my Leads off M tec Perfomance

Good leads at around half the price of Vauxhall :y
Why are you only doing one side? surely while you have Plenum off it would be as well doing both sides?

Get some Bosch leads off Ebay, they will cost about £30ish :y

Will take too long to transfer stuff over to paypal & pay for & deliver... need em all for the little gathering on the 23rd!
Gona see if sorting out these jobs first solves the other issues out...
Coolant loss I'm putting to a cracked headertank around the cap
Performance to the leads/plug wells being filled with oil
Just the rear multiram which I need to diagnose now...

Have found that if rear multiram isn't working either you have an air pipe leaking or the connection was broken on I guys i looked at..

already checked over the piping of it, thats all fine and appears to be no leaks (checked all rubber unions, and pipes all over the system) its just the rear which isnt switching at 4krpm as it should... And I don't have a voltage tester to see if the connection is actually triggering at 4krpm as it should...
-
At around 1000rpm the back multi ram moves, at around 4000rpm the front multi ram moves.. :y
-
4/1/1/4....
well all I know is the rear dont do jack lol!
I'll check it over again tomorrow tho, but doubt it will make any difference...

The rear one should move when you blip the throttle to around 1000rpm, check all the air pipes, also I had to change the thing with the connector plugs into (cant remember what its called) because the connections had broken :y
-
Have a look at this thread, just to check you have the air pipes in the correct places :y

Sealing compound we will have.
You need a seal per cam cover (90511451) and 8 O rings per cam cover.
Ignition leads, buy else where as that price will only be for 3 off.....
How much antifreeze are you buying ! :o
-
How much antifreeze - catering quantity?
-
20 litres, as have 5 cars to do (2 omegas, a focus, micra and ka) plus may have a few more to do in a few weeks time.
I forgot to order the other bits (forgot the piece of paper with the other part numbers on lol!) but got the sealant just incase anyways, better to have plenty than not enough!
Only needed the one bank set of leads anyway, and got them from Vaux as last time I got some generic Bosch items from halfrauds for my old Corsa, they just didnt fit as snug as the old Vaux ones, and went bad after a while too.
-
Magnecor leads are what I would recommend. Around £130 delivered for a set, and probably better than the Vx ones.
