Here's a strange question......
Have recently fitted a wiper stalk to my cdx with the variable delay intermittent option and done the wiring mod...thanks to OOF for that.
The minimum delay is 4-5 seconds, personally I think that sometimes that's not quite quick enough, and I don't want to turn the wipers to constantly on.
One of the pool cars at work is a Vectra and the best thing about it is that the min delay is approx 2 seconds, which I much prefer.
Does anyone know if this tiiming is set as a function of the wiper relay???
And if so is the miggy relay interchangeable with the Vectra one?
Many thanks :y

Anybody !! :'(

All I can say is I reckon mine (on both cars) go from about 2.5s to about 30s
-
Yep, the minimum delay on mine is about 2 or 3 seconds.

mmmm,
Maybe I just need to learn to count :D
It's still slow compared to the Veccy though!!

How about swapping relays between the 2 ;)

Now there's athought.... if only I could nick the pool car for the night..
assuming they are interchangeable, where are they located??

I think the Omega's is under the bonnet in the triangular fuse/relay box.

Thanks Andy, think the Vectra's is above the main fuse panel :y

The relays are different part numbers between the non variable and the variable stalks.
After adding the variable resistor to my 2.6 its range of timing is much less then our 2.5 which was built with variable.
When I remember I need to try a spare, older type relay. Not yet looked to see if they are pin compatible but I don't anticipate a problem.

Anyone got the part no of the correct relay + and approx cost? Mine's got variable delay wipers as an add on so is 4 sec on the slowest setting.

So it would seem that it is a function of the relay :)
As Nick A says, need the details of that relay if poss :y :y :y
