Title: Key fob problem
Post by: Martin_1962 on 09 February 2009, 19:44:35
Well I don't know where to go next.

Just finding out if two or three button

New switches fitted and if it is the one I am thinking about the battery holder is refitted.

The LED lights when buttons are pressed, it has been resynced.

It doesn't operate central locking.

What should be checked?

Thanks

Martin

Standard 3 button Megamos fob - worked with car, failed after a battery change.

I refitted the battery holder and fitted three new switches.

Lights work but car doesn't reply.

Resync failed

Quite possibly but I don't understand what all the components are.

I would love a circuit diagram

Does the central locking work (when physically triggered by the key)?

Yes - as does the other fob.

The customer is photoing the insides just in cae he has knocked off a SM component as the aerial components are next to the battery post he broke.
