Title: Another water leak!
Post by: Taxi_Driver on 12 February 2008, 19:15:04
My 2.2 decided the small leak i have radiator area.......wasnt enough of a leak this afternoon.

Check coolant came on just before lunchtime.......so when i popped home.......i topped it up......suprised a bit it took 1 1/2L to get it back to the line tho.

An hour later.........check coolant came on again.......

So i drove round to local garage i use and asked them to take a look......as im getting fed up looking for water leaks on it.

Bet no one can guess the diagnosis..........these parts never fail  ::)

I'll give you a clue........rear of the engine.

Anyway its got a nice new one fitted now...... :y

HBV = Heater Bypass Valve.....

A pain in the ass contraption that control the heat into the car on cars with climate control, they fail and chuck water all over the dispac and cause further issues.....

mind you i have seen where they put them on the Vectra B 2.5's OMG that's practically and engine out job
