Title: ccr 800 bose phillips radio casette

hi guys, wondering if anyone has any ideas.

i have put the original radio back into the car, but the problem im having is that when i put the radio on no info display is coming up, i can here the bleep when i hold the af to put the code in but thats it.

so until i can sort the problem i dont know what else to do.

anyone any ideas?

Think its just the display failing to show mate so you should still be able to enter the code shortly after the bleep comes up...

0 comes up first followed by 1 then 2 and so on each time you press the button...

As far as why its not displaying...either its in 10 digit mode rather than 8 or is it 8 rather than 10...OR someone has butchered the wiring when putting in the aftermarket stereo and the 3 little brown and white wires need connecting up properly again...

The code entry screen will still appear even if the unit is configured for the wrong 8 or 10 digit display option, its only after the code has been entered that comes into effect.

If you are not getting the code entry screeen, check the connections - display comes of the top 10 pin ISO connector at the back of the radio, make sure this is plugged in as well as the other two iso block for speakers and power.

all sorted, i remembered when i changed a vauxhall head unit at work i had to remove the top connection plug for the display ::)

all working fine and the bose system in the words of borat '' yes, it's nice'' :y
