Sorted it.

To get to the CD code entry screen press and hold the 'CD' button for 5 seconds before switching the electrics on.

You will then be prompted to enter the code.

Difficult to answer without some model numbers of the equipment you are referring to at least

Ahh, yes, usually helps!

Its the 700 head unit and the Blaupunt CD changer.

Its a 1999 car.

Turn head unit off with OI  button
Press & hold CD button
Enter code
