Title: MP3 Cd changer??????? IS there one?
Post by: AndyMV6 on 19 March 2009, 10:26:13
Hey all,

Just a quicky!

Is there any aftermarket MP3 cd changers that will interface with the omega headunits?

I have a 99 elite with the Bose, phone, sub woofer blah blah blah system and dont want to lose the head unit but REALLY want to play MP3's!!!!!

I do have a mega expensive Alpine mp3 cd headunit (from my young and crazy days!) but am reluctant to fit it as i lose my bose/phone system!!!

Thanks

Andy

I just bought an Fm transmitter.
Ordered it on Ebay. It was really cheap looks ok and it came quickly.
If you listen to the music not loudly it's actually quite OK.
But if you decide to turn the volume up you can hear static in the backround. After all it's a radio signal so the quality of the sound is not good (not even close to a cd).

We use high quality FM transmitters with an RCA input for the multimedia stuff - at around £50 they are not cheap, but then, we`ve had no complaints about the sound quality of them either

however, CCR600 and 800 are both mechanical decks - not the electronic decks that I made reference to

Its been in my old kenwood from early 90s, and that is most definately electrical/electronic tape.  Mind you, thats a decent stereo thats indestructable, no matter what CDRs I through at the 10 disc changer ;D
