Hi, I have a 2.2dti CDX estate. After the CD cassette jammed in the head unit, I had to replace the whole radio/cd player with a brand new one. The new one being a Siemens unit.
Now the radio only recieves a few stations such as R1,2,3,4 + one or two others. Any ideas?

you made sure the arial is push in properly at back of unit?
-
is there a sensitivity setting on the head unit if so that may need to be changed.
check all of the connections to antenna ie for bad connections
check the coax isn't shorting out if the braid the part that shields the core which carries the signal
if the pll (phase locking loop internal component) is shot this may cause the problem as it wont lock on to weak transmissions and hold it but i woudnt think it is that as it is brand new!

Hi. Thanks to HGV Mechanic and Richard148. Does anybody know where I can get hold of the double din tool to take the set out of the dash?
-
Removal tools ten a penny, get them off ebay, or if in a hurry, ask a car salesman if you can borrow a pair :y. (Perish the thought) ::)

Cheers Mate :y

The autoleads ones need modifying as well, as they are crap.

More than likely poor aerial connection.
