As it says.. I got a dead Lambda sensor. It will be replaced in 2,5 weeks along with some other maintanance. So there is no problem :)
The question I have is: will it make the motor management go into safe mode after a while?
I'm not planning to use the car much until the sensor is gonna be replaced, because I know it's not good for the cat and fuel consumption, but next week I have to cover about 150 miles. Mostly highway.
Car we're talking about is a '99 B1 2.0 16V.

The engine management should cope ok, putting in substitute values, but the damage to cat I'd be more concerned about. I don't know how much abuse these cats can take, sorry :-/

Yeah, true. Just wanted to make sure, cos the engine running in the safe mode isn't good either.
I guess without high revs and just highway driving it should be okay. Trying to use the other cars here as much as possible, but there are few times I can't.
