Ok the car is facelift 2000, with selfleveling hids, the colour of the main beam is very different (yellow) from the dipped beam(white) so I was thinking of changing the main beam bulbs to get it closer to dipped beam.
Any recomendations anyone? Or even better some links on ebay?

To get it to match, you'll need the chavvy xenon bulbs, around 5k in colour. Most places will sell them.
You may notice a reduction in light output, as those bulb types are compromised for show rather than performance. Consider doing the fogs as well if you are after the same colour for those as well.

Thanks Boy.
Do you know what is the size of the main beam?
I presume they're H1 but I'm not able to check them now.
Also any experience with osram nightbreakers or some similar bulbs?

nightbreakers seem to give better light, but seemingly at the expense of bulb life

Just put some nightbreakers in mine (min facelift projectors). Tried them last night although not completely dark and they do seem a fair bit better than the normal ones that were in there before.
As for life, the packaging suggests half the life of mormal ones.

id go for some high wattage normal bulbs as such. Ring do rallysport bulbs and although technically illegal i dont see an issue if your just using them as full beam. H7's come in 130w though on a previous car i used 100/160w H4s....great bulbs!!

if you uprate the bulb wattage uprate the fuses too! otherwise you may experiance some very interesting problems ie the 10a fuse blows and you loose your lights
dont know about the omega but high wattage H7s melt vectra reflectors

I've got no interest in uprating the wattage of the main bulbs, the light is already ok, but want to change the bulbs cause dipped beams are xenon and main beam is regular yellow bulb so it looks a little ridiculous if you ask me.
So plan to match the colours of those two

ran the H4's for 4 months before selling up, never had a fuse blow!
