Title: Heated Seats (again)
Post by: oceansoul on 30 May 2009, 16:34:13
I have a 2000 sport (long story, i know) which has the same recaro seats as the MV6 (not leather, p.s. i know all the omega seats are recaro, but i mean the bucket seats). In the MV6 these are heated, as can be seen in these pic's

There the same seats i have.

Now, my car doesnt have heated seat switches, however would they be heated i.e. have the heater pads in them. I dont see why recaro would make 2 different sets of seats, on lot heated and the other lot not.

I do! Cost! :y  :y  :y It wouldn't be too difficult to put aftermarket heat pads in under the fabric, you'd have to look to see if there was any wiring already fitted to you car.  ;)

What would the wires look like going to the seat base then to see if they were heated....

I can't say for a facelift cos they're switched differently from prefacelift, but prefacelift 12v to the heating elements is black/red for driver's & black/yellow for the passenger. Someone with EPC might be able to shed more light on it
