Post by: Muskie on 06 June 2009, 12:21:33
Hi  all, Driving last night and when i switched my lights on the dashboard lights did not come on nor did the heating control lights etc. I presume a fuse has blown , anyone got any ideas which one this would be ? thanks

You don't say what age your car is, but according to Haynes for cars up to facelift (there seem to be some differnces between models) Fuse 15 covers 'instrument illumination' but also covers :-
reverse lights
glove box
auto level control
cryuise
sunroof
and headlight range
so if you've lost use of the above .... then it's likely you just need a new 20 amp fuse!  :y :y

I wasn't being flippant re the dimmer ..... that's been the 'fix' for quite a few dash light problems1  ;)  ;)  ;)  ;D

Also worth giving the dimmer a twiddle, to make sure you haven`t got a dead spot on it
