Title: CCR2006 rear connections ??
Post by: FatS on 06 June 2009, 17:50:00
Anybody let me know what connectors are on back of CCR2006 ??

I've been told no pre-outs etc but has it got ISO connector thingies ??

I've got one of those Self-Amp'd tiny Sub things but it Piggy-Baccks on an ISO plug ?!?!?

Not disastrous if not but would add just a tad more bass without blowing the Car speakers  ;)

Its a 36 pin "Mini ISO"

the power and speakers are standard 2x8 pin ISO with the ignition and permanent feeds reversed, and the top 20 pins are much smaller.

You may need to seperate the top row of the ISO block to make your adaptor fit. Not impossible, and not as hard a job as you will have trying to squeeze it all back into the dash

Oh well, i'll think about that then,
not a big issue really, just that on 1st impression the
stereo (speakers ?) in this Facelift isn't quite as clear/distinct as the one was in my old Moggie ?!?

I tried to find a Bose one but decided to go for 'straighter'
car than worry about the stereo.

You don't know of any pics of the rear at all do you ?

its the ccrt700 one on that page, but the wiring is slightly different on the top 20 pin block

CCRT700 diagram is closest, but as TB said, the top block is different, but you arn`t going to be using that anyway, so ignore it.

If you have one of the ISO "In Line" amplified subs, chances are that you are only using blocks A and B on the CCRT700 picture, but you need to make sure that the top block C (wiring different on CCR2006 !!) is plugged directly back into the head unit.

On block A (power), you will need to swap over at both ends of your amp leads, pins 4 and 7 (probably red and yellow) and then its simply plug and play.
