Title: changing ign switch
Post by: unlucky alf on 09 June 2009, 20:24:59
as per my last thread on here regarding stereo only working with the ign on, is it possible to change to a later ign switch with a switched live?, would i have to change the whole thing as a unit or does the wire side separate somehow to save messing about with sheer bolts, also if anyones got a switch ill have it :y

just looked on fleabay & found the ign switch, apparently there is a choice of either 5 or 6 connection switches, so ive ordered a 6 pin as i would have thought that this is the one thatll have a switched live on it, so hopefully itll be a simple case of running a wire off the spare connection & fitting a fuse in line, if it works i`ll let you know as im sure there are a few others with this annoying problem :y

You can set the radio to operate without the ignition being on  :y If it has an original radio fitted . If you have the handbook (audio) it tells you how to do it in there ,LOGIC ON/OFF  ;)
