On hot days, like today, my missis says that when the stereo is switch on (by that, I think when the ignition key is inserted, cos the stereo is always on), there's a mesage that reads "PANEL" in the MFD.
Once cabin has cooled off a little (drive off, windows open or AC on for a few minutes), the stereo can be switched on and all is well.
I've never seen this to be honest.
Not a real problem, just wondering if it's normal.
She's had the car for four years, it's always done this since she's had it and only today, told me about it.
Women.............. :o

Try cleaning the contacts on the detachable fascia

Spotless mate - only been removed twice in 4 years to fit simcard for the phone.
As I say, no real problem, just wonder why it happens!
Ta for reply though. ;)

Lack of removing them can cause a layer of grease and grime to build up, and is actually more problematical than constantly removing the fascia.
Give them a good clean, both the fascia and the contacts in the rear

I'll get some switch cleaner on the contacts then - cheers! ;)

Yeah, my CCRT 2008 used to do the same thing occasionally. Never saw it as being weather related though. It hasn't done it since I cleaned the contacts.
It also switches itself off if you push the top right hand corner of the unit, which must be a poor connection. Solved this by just not pushing the corner.
