Title: CDC2 changer with CCR600
Post by: Jeroen on 12 July 2009, 13:38:13
Hi everybody,

First some introductions: My name is Jeroen and i'm from the Netherlands. Since last january i drive an Opel Omega MV6 1998 and loving it!

The problem i have right now that nobody seems to have answer to is the following:

I've got a CDC2 CD changer that needed lens cleaning very badly....

It came with the Bose/Phillips radio and worked before i removed it.

Unfortunately now when reconnect the head unit doesn't seem to work.

The light on the CD changer's eject button flashes all the time, when the head unit's powered on there is a steady light but the magazine will not eject.

Does anyone know if there's anything I need to do to reset or something?

I've got the codes but it doesn't say cd safe, it just says cdc err

Could it be that the "degrees" on the changer changed when i opened it and if so how to get them correct?

Thanks in advance!

BR, Jeroen

What radio did the CDC2 come from? CCRT700? If so, the CDC2 is not compatible with the CCR600 - although the CCR600/800 CDC2 looks identical to CCRT700 CDC2, they are not the same (control board inside is different)

From the description given, it appeared that it was working before it was messed about with insides.
