Title: Indicators not working intermittently
Post by: Petex063 on 25 July 2009, 11:06:47
Hi,

I had this problem some time ago but wasn't a member at the time.  Just occasionally, I would try to indicate and the repeater on the dash would flash only once.  I thought it must be a faulty indicator switch but couldn't find anything wrong with it.

I eventually traced the live feed for the indicators and found that it is routed via the hazard lights switch in the middle of the dash.  There was a bad connection with one of the blades of the hazard light switch where it plugs into the dash.  By slightly bending the relevant blade and plugging the switch back in I solved the problem.

Hope this helps someone

Peter

on a serious note, 20 odd presses of the hazzard switch yearly can help with smooth operation, they are a known issue
