Title: Speedo, ABS, TC
Post by: Lagondanet on 10 July 2009, 09:39:21
My speedo has started to intermittently fade to zero bringing on the ABS, TC & immobiliser warning lights. Maybe once a day. Anyone care to tell me what they think might be causing this and the remedy?
-Replace speedo cable?
-Clean/replace ABS sensors?
-Replace ABS ECU?
-???

ps. My Siemens NCDC 2013 audio system has been down for some time with both CD drives malfunctioning. All local V dealers say they can't fix it (can only give the Tec 2 codes) and suggest I replace the entire unit!  I have passed it to an outfit called Radio Solutions in Luton to see if they can fix it & will report back later.

Thanks.

abs ecu

as for the stereo - top cd palyer parts are available, cd changer bit, they are not.  Using CDRs will have severely shortened the life of them.

Yep, yep, yep - just had my one replaced (circa. £125 remanufactured) - you might find the steering power assistance goes next :(

Eventually had a new ABS ecu put in. Painfully expensive.  :(

Anybody in the Luton/midBeds area?  Who would you recommend for general servicing?
