Title: Fuel gauge question
Post by: Toby on 19 July 2009, 18:12:26
Having a slight issue in that my fuel light no longer lights. Neither does it flash, I have changed the bulb various times and still nothing. Also, when the Range dips below 30miles the MID starts flashing. This also does not happen. Gauge itself works fine.

Is this something that is programmed? Has happened ever since I had the battery go on me so wondering if it's possibly that it has lost its programming if that is the case.

mid gets its info from dash, sounds like an issue with dash if gauge works  :-/

Could it be anything to do with having swapped the circuit boards inside the dash? The one currently in there is a donor one after I switched it.

Maybe if I swap them back over?

Even though they were both 160mph clocks from a 3.0 Elite?

Think I'll swap them back over and see  :y

Not sure tbh,

Is the fuel light supposed to come on as test when ignition is switched on?
