Hi guys and girls,
Can any one suggest an upgrade on a pair of decent door speakers for my 1998 cdx estate, i will keep my head unit being the CCR 600.
I heard of kicker speakers which seem to be the same size as the door frame.
Thanks guys :-?

what ever speakers you fit you will need to use speaker adapters as the standard speakers are fre formed and shaped. personally ive fitted vibe 6.5 componants in front doors they have a very good bass responce hope this helps

infinity components in mine mate. :y
6.5" in the front ( no adapters needed ) tweeters in the normal place.
5.25" in the back doors ( 18mm of mdf needed to pack it out )
crossovers behind the armrest in the door cards.
not too much base. just great quality sound :y

Everybody's ears are different.
My advice to you is to find a showroom that has various different models on sale and decide what you like from there.
Be careful with your shopping though, because what sounds good in the standard, pre-formed, showroom box won't necessarily sound as good once it's in the car.

Very true -
And remember that if you go to a reputable car audio shop, they should also have a demo car for you to listen to as well, so that you can hear the speakers in a true environment.
