Hey all, i've broke my drivers side sun visors hinge and ordered a new 1 off ebay.
Its a bit difficult to drive with it hangin down all the time so I went out this morning to take it off, after unscrewing the hinge there's a hole into the roof where there's a connecter on the wire for the light.
Here's where i'm having my problem....I cant get the connector out the hole so i just snipped the wired off the old sun visor, how do i get the connector out the hole to connect my new one when it comes??

Try removing the trim from around the door &/or sunroof, that'll allow the headlining to drop a bit. You should then be able to get your hand in to fish the wiring loom out.
Next time you get 'snip happy', tie a bit of string to the loom before hand, then you'll be able to pull it back out! :y :y ;) ;)

Doesn`t this mean that there is now a bare ended wire that is live floating around the roof lining just waiting to touch something metal?
::)

What - rather than unplugging it?
Somehow I doubt it

On reflection .... you're right! :y

well yeah there's bare wire, however i sniped it as close to the sun visor as possible so the wire is hanging out the hole into the car, also sperated the two wires so they dont touch each other. The only possible thing they could touch is my head lol
Got my new visor through the door today so goin to give it a wee shot, so you reckon i need to pull the roof lining at the door a bit

They wire is out the hole and i can easily grab it but i cant get the black connector out the hole to disconnect the old wire and connect the new 1
-
1. Unscrew the grab handle
2. Pop off the trim piece that runs up the side of the front screen and behind the grab handle
From what others have said you should now be able to slide you fingers in behind the headlining. (I haven't done it myself though so no guarantees)

Even easier would be to cut off the connector on the new visor and solder the wires to each other :y

Ended up using a strip connector, was dead easy lol
