Title: sunroof motor parts

have a 95 estate can get the sunroof motor working but roof not opening .... if i pull off the wee plastic cover i can see a white plastic bit turning but the metal piece in the centre is not turning to open roof .... is this a plastic gear and is it stripped .... if so can it be bought and replaced or is it a new motor item to repair

I cant say for sure, but what I can say is that I've got a sunroof moror available (from a '98) and will be quite happy to let you borrow it help you solve the problem.
