Title: Electric window switch.
Post by: robbo299 on 19 September 2009, 21:30:47
Hi. Need some info. Pulled up at petrol station tonight to put some fuel in and went to close driver window. The top of the window switch popped off which left my window half open :'(. Managed to find the top of the switch in car when i got home and i have managed to close window. Obviously this now needs changing. Are they easy to change? Can i just change the broken switch or do i have to change the whole unit? :-/ Thanx.

Complete unit I believe. Had this happen on a mate`s. Pop the switch assembly and inspect, should be able to fix with superglue (mate`s is still going strong) :y

Thanx RobG :y Will have a look in the morning. Looks like one lug on the switch has broken on quick inspection. Don`t know quite how they are fixed in but hope to see when i check. At least it will be light then! :y

It tends to be the lug that snaps but if you`re lucky the superglue will fix it. :y
