Only one on facelifts, 2 on pre & mini facelifts.
Can buy them singly from Vx (mine were part nš 90495144) or off ebay.

if you check the car regularly and are confident you will notice low pads they can be disabled, with a piece of wire, my gsi lived like it for 6 years as i change pads at 3mm. and like getting wheels off.

cheers everybody thats put my mind at rest thought i had to trace more wires and loose more hair with stress ;D

I have a facelift and there is one on the near-side and one on the offside set of pads. ;)

I checked mine last week and only had them on the nearside. They must have changed them around 2001.

cos , provided both sides are maintained correctly ie pads not siezed in the calipers, if one side needs new pads .... then so will the other - & Vauxhall saved a couple of quid per car by reducing the sensors & plugs/sockets to the tune of ONE!!!! :-? :y ;D ;D
-
i was just thinking about cobbiling another senser to the right hand side just in case something goes wrong even tho i like to maintain my on a regular basis
