Hi - my heater fan/blower appears to have stopped working, I have checked all the fuses under the steering column and in the box near the battery, the display panel (it's a facelift) suggests everything is working but just no fan noise or air from the vents etc, I have tried resetting the panel and adjusting all the settings but no joy so I suspect that the fan/motor itself is at fault and wondered if anyone can tell me:
1 - where is it located and how to get into it to replace it?
2 - are all fans the same in the Omega Range?
3 - could the diplay panel be at fault?
As ever - all help appreciated.

1. behind the passenger glovebox.
2. AFAIK yes
3. Need to test the motor with a direct feed to rule it out/confirm. If the motor works with direct power then the climate panel could be the next step.

firstly check all the fuses make sure nothings blown. While fan controllers do fail (due to poor maintiance), never heard of one going on such a new car.
Is your scuttle drain blocked? Thats what kills them.

Thanks for the link to an earlier post, and the scuttle did get blocked last year and water did get into the car so maybe that water got into the bearings and that has slowly siezed the fan, I shall report back with what I find :)

Hardest part is getting the two top torx screws out then trying to get the tinkers back in >:( >:(

Well that was wierd - I pulled off the panel underneath the glove box and had a look - could only see some wires and all my car phone stuff, had a bit of a feel around looking for the motor and then decided to turn on the ignition to see if i could hear the motor clicking - turned the ignition on and set the climate control panel to windscreen demist and then got back into the passenger footwell with my torch, as I climbed in there I put my hand on the top corner of the dash for support as I done this I heard the fan start up!! Decided to confirm where the fan was by jamming my fingers into the recess where the noise was coming from and found the spinning blades - bloody sore lol - but suspect a loose connection now so going to trace the wiring if I can, hopefully just a loose plug.

very interesting, i have yet to see a clean car kit install for phones, some of the project cars i had had some very odd wiring going on, even for an ex-student bum like me.
I wonder if the car kit was wired into the fan controller ::) ;D

Whip the glovebox out hopefully fault will be in close proximity to controller unit and wiring tray http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1214169060
