Title: wire gram for gray plug

Hi dose any one have the wiring diagram for the gray plug mid display, with four lights, thanks

You can get this from the Haynes manual wiring section.

Few points to watch:

1) They have early and late diagrams - pre & mini facelift
2) The print is small - i had it blown up to A3
3) The colour keys are in German - so beware

Should be all you need .......

hi have looked in haynes but they both look same and as some one has cut his plug off the wire colours are dif on new plug got from scrapy, his is 99, and new plug is 2004 with cover over so cannot see the pin colours and its not same colour wires as mine, can only see the long list in mid of page v15 v16, the old display in Nakerd so got a new one 99 auto. :-?

If you have two displays with wiring that is so different - are you sure that they are interchangeable and compatable?

yeah the wire gray plug fits both, but mine is yellow his must be gray, if could see plug colours would be easy but its seal'd and dont wont to break it :y

no im not looking to change it over, m8's mig has never worked so he asked me to have a look, some one had removed the plug by cutting it off, spent all day of 2hrs yesterday using meter and putting wires back on, both displays are broke only light up, if you push on screen you can just about see what its displaying, there is 8 wires that are not the same colours, so going to leave it till he can get one that works to fin it off. :y
