The CCRT700 is as popular with the Oofers as it is unpopular with me, for the simple reason that it is an absolute nightmare to decode. With the winter season approaching, I am trying to develop a quicker way of decoding the stereo via its serial number and I need some assistance from you guys.
I am after some raw data in the form of matching serial numbers and codes, so that I can see if my calculations are on track. If you have a car pass or code card with serial number, or a radio out of the car with a code, I would be very gratefull if you could PM to me the following information:
I am after the 14 digit serial number GM?????????? and the four digit code number of as many CCRT700 radios as I can get.
Thanks guys, and hopefully I may be able to offer a decoding service for this model via email shortly
:)

Shell, PM sent with what I think may be your code - please let me know how you get on with it.

call me stoooopid, cant see it

.....call me stoooopid, .....
can we call you stooopid anyway? ::) ;) :y :y :y
I have two passes .... One quotes the whole GM070********* but the other just has X10***16 for its serial number (not read from the unit but from the passes)
-
carpass has sn as w10****3. There are some unreadable stickers on radio, but no stamped numbers as far as i can see

I have now seen 2 versions of CCRT700
one starts GM1700 and the other GM0700 but both of them will have a 14 digit number on the stereo beginning GM - both can now be decoded via serial number.
It should be engraved into the side, and will be a bugger to see usually.
Oh, nearly forgot to also call you stoopid :P
-
Oh, the last 7 digits are not enough to calculate the code - need the full 14 digit number.
;)

Thanks to everyone that helped, and I am proud to say that I have had 100% so far in calculating the code numbers from the serial numbers given.

If that is what you can achieve from whisky and fizzy sweets, then i must send you a bottle of "Irn Bru" and a deepfried marsbar!
Certainly i owe you a bottle of malt.
at the risk of repeating myself..i must thank you once more.
