Title: Sat nav aerial location
Post by: goonv6 on 09 December 2009, 17:03:03
I have a complete sat nav unit to fit into my 1999 mini facelift estate. It came with the aerial, where does this go?(Mine's a tunnel mounted unit.)

Actually on a '99 it was probably mounted inside the dash and behind the display. It was moved there from the earlier models.

But, thats a pig to get to, so on the dash in the corner next the tax disk is fine, the cable tucks nicely down the side and it just sits there nicely.

1999 models (unit mounted in roof) was actually behind the air vents in the centre. Pre 1999 (tunnel mounted), on the dash by tax disc.

(all saloons mounted cd unit in boot, only estates mounted cd in positions above)
