Title: Brake Lights Not Working
Post by: Jim on 03 January 2010, 20:07:42
As the title says my brakes lights on the omega are not working,

When I start the car and put my foot on the brake the "Check" light on the MID does not go off and the MID does not say "brake light fault", so I ask the wife to stand behind the car as I applied the brake pedal, and nothing!! I've drove the car down the street and the brakes are fine.

Any Ideas

MID won't say that you have a fault. It works, as you suggest, by the 'brake light' message going off when you press the pedal if all is OK. You have checked the lamps/bulbs?  ;)

A new brake switch isn't too expensive and is quite easy to fit.  :y
