Dave, my father has an 02 plate elite with an ncdc 2013 Bose head unit and gid screen with sat nav, the problem is that the cd mag wont eject and a local dealer says that they can supply a new h/u for it and will cost £900. An local ICE dealer has said that they cant repair it as thay have no way of testing it out of the car.
So he is looking at replacing it with something else, what are the options that he has as i am almost sure that for that kinda dosh there must be better to be had. thank you for your time, Gary. :y

Whatever you do is going to be relatively expensive I`m afraid due to the complexities and totally integrated system within your car. That particular setup with the BOSE and NAV uses dedicated screens, amps and speakers.
If you go down the aftermarket route, You will need to replace the BOSE amp and speakers as they are not compatable with anything other than the original setup, and I`m fairly sure that removing the stereo may well leave the screen display functionality non existant. (can someone with an Omega just confirm that bit please?) :-?
Spares for that model are in precious short supply, but there are a number of those head units floating around secondhand, and there are a few members on here that can also repair your head unit, so if budget is tight, then I think that this would be the route I would probably go down due to the amount of dedicated equipment already fitted in the car.
