I recently had my Omega into the VX dealer for the full tech2 software update malarkey and there have been noticeable changes in the engine and gearbox.
On the climate change front (don't get excited Nickbat!), there does not seem to be much difference apart from the fact the fan seems to be on more and I keep having to set it to windscreen to keep the windows clear-especially if I breathe. The boot vents are clear, the carbon filter is new and dry, chamber empty etc etc.
I am guessing it is just a coincidence and that damp floor mats (from wet shoes-all carpets are bone dry) are the culprit. I do put them on the rads in the house twice a week...
Any other ideas? In the meantime, I think I will clean the glass again and get a driver's snorkel installed in the hope this cures it.

....and its not on eco all the time?
Hole idea of the cc update is to calm the fans down. Which to me they do a litlle too well as i find the centre vents blow next to no warm air at all on cold mornings when set to auto.
Check the ac pump face plate is spinning when it should. Bottom right pulley on aux belt. If not, may need a leak test/ac srevice(by an ac specialist)

its engaged by a clutch so will only spin with ac on, ac has dehumidifier built in so if not working car will steam up more. See how you go, hopefully there wont be any further costs though.

So you actually breathe when you're driving? Surely that's simply not allowed?? :D
I like the snorkel idea too! ;D
Must admit, my both my Omegas have been a little on the sweaty side in the cold weather, but I've had the same problem with other cars, so I don't think it's just an Omega problem.

I am a perfectionist (no....?!?) so make an issue of bits others may either not notice or just live with....
I think the climate update biased the ventilation too much away from the screen, when not on windscreen setting.
The rest of the car does not steam up, just the screen in front of me, when I terribly sorry old boy, I am a little tired or similar...wet feet on mats don't help overall I suppose...

Remember that at less than 4 degrees the Aircon won't operate anyway.

That'll be it then.... :y

I read another thread recently, that said to do this on facelift climate controls, to make the aircon run all the time:-
Select auto button and then push the re-circ button twice and an 'A' illuminates inside the re-circ symbol.
'A' for aircon I suppose. The 'A' comes up on mine OK, but still playing with at the moment.
Sorry if this is common knowledge already. :y :y

Woops. OK. Cheers. Corrected I stand. :D :D

Aha, so it's not me going mad then. Must mean I have the latest climate update too as I get virtually no flow on Auto, but if I direct the air to the cabin/face it comes out plenty warm.
