Title: auto dip mirror
Post by: unlucky mark mv6 on 30 January 2010, 17:12:49
Will my mv6 facelift be pre-wired to take an auto dip mirror off an elite, and if so will it be just plug and play. :y

Unlikely, my CDX facelift wasn`t. If you`re not bothered about the reverse facility it`s only two wires to splice from the roof light connector

Thats very unusual rob being a cdx,as it virtually has everything the elite has.Sure you hadent missed a wiring plug in the headlining.Would really like everything to work as it should,so what could i do to make the reverse facility work, does it mean running wires to reverse switch or lights?. :-/

Running a wire down to the driver`s kick panel. When I fitted mine I didn`t see the need for it. You`ve still got decent rear view vision when mirror is in anti-glare mode so couldn`t be bothered to faff about getting a wire down there

This is probably a dumb question, but can i ask, what does the reverse function do? I ask, because i have a heavily tinted rear screen, which i am considering removing in my elite, so obviously, at the mo, my mirror does nothing.

When reverse is selected, it removes the auto dip so you can clearly see out the back  :)
