I have an NCDC 2013, and have no code for it. I need to take it out, is there a way of getting the code whilst it is still in and ulocked? Thanks Dave
-
They are not coded like other h/u's
-
Paired with display using immobiliser code
-
So no code? So its safe to remove?

As long as you don't intend to fit it in another car yes, they are not coded like normal head units. As mentioned they are paired to the GID or CID with the car immobilisers code

Oh I see, I'm planning to take it out and dismantle it because the magazine has been stuck in it since I bought the car.

Enjoy! It's a real fun job ::) :'(

Any advice? apart from dont do it :)

Unless you take radios apart for a living, i suggest you send it to DaveDND. Most standard car radio shack shops won't touch them, because they are so bad to dismantle.

When you take off the front panel, you don't find what you think you will. Its basically 2 single din units joined together at the front by the facia, just separating them involves a lot of work, front panel is very fragile, spares are hard to come by and very expensive.
I had one re-built for me, for the 3.0, by someone who is hugely experienced with electronics, even they have 'fun' with them.

be really careful not to damage facia bit, the clips and screw holes go brittle with age

While some of the admins are mischievous, cunning, and get bored. I don't think they would spoof abusive PM's from your mailbox to mine on specific subjects from my posts.
Now you have posted requiring help, which i have replied on in detail, your trying to pull a fast one. ;)
