Title: changing head unit
Post by: andy72 on 10 February 2010, 14:10:11
i keep reading about BOSE systems and all the problems with changing head unit etc.

I have a CDX and no idea if i have bose system or not. Is it a case of a typical 'normal' head unit swap?

CDX does not have bose as standard, bit it could of been added. Do you have speakers in the parcel shelf?

My car has Bose.

It displays 'BOSE' on the display when you first turn on the radio, there are two speakers in the rear parcel shelf that say 'Bose' on the covers and there is an enormous plastic shelf in the boot (saloon) that contains a little amplifier (and takes up a chunk of useful space).

If you don't have Bose then it is a fairly straightforward swap.

[edit]Just noticed that you have LPG. If your tank is in the boot I doubt there would be space for the Bose shelf as well.......[/edit]
