I want to fit a new radio in the car 2.5td cdx but can't get it to work.
It powers up but no sound. I have seen from the posts that it is not staight forward job but can't find an answer as to make it work.People talk about a bose thing in the boot but don't think I have one of them as I can't see it under the parcel shelf.
I have used an ISO adapter but still cant make it work, can you help please. Its a kenwood radio/cd

Hi Goldy
iirc the 'BOSE' is only fitted to the Elite model.
It sounds (no pun) like its possible a speaker problem have you checked all the speaker wires are firmly in the ISO block secondly I know this sounds stupid but you have turned the volume knob up !!
:D

Swapped the 12V and ign 12V over? ;)

Thanks all.The original radio works OK so theory about speakers and not turning sound up are out .
The funny thing is regarding speakers is that I could not make them "click" with a battery when I was tracing the wires so it makes me think that there is something in the system that needs powering up but the new radio/cd is not doing this. >:( :(

Thanks to all for your help.
The problem was that the amp in the car was not being powered up so I used the aeriel power up lead from the radio to power the amp and now all is good. Thanks again.
