Title: Sidelight Bulb Issue
Post by: pedroMV6 on 28 February 2010, 19:19:22
The MV6 keeps blowing the front left sidelight bulb. Seem OK for a couple of days then pop.
Right front and rears all OK, interiors all OK.

Any bright ideas, please? :D

In any other application would say faulty power issue like a power surge caused by faulty regulator, only thing i can think of is - are the bulb pins fitted tight enough in the bulb socket? a sharp shock or rattle could break the "mantle" (for use of a better word) inside the bulb. :-/

Yes I would agree with what mudflap wrote. I would add vibration is a major killer of lamps (bulbs) I suffer particularly badly on my motorbike.

Is your headlight reflector loose/broken and rattling around as you drive.

Seems the reflector is in need of attention, as it is indeed loose and rattling around a bit..
Probably need some new adjusters. :y
