Title: ABS sensors
Post by: splott on 08 March 2010, 17:43:39
My Miggy is off the road at the moment with a few faults that will stop it passing an MOT. >:( :-*
1. The low beam FLD warning ( This I can do using info found hear) ;)
2.Hand brake button broken.
3. ABS ecu not working, nor speedo and cruise etc.
Question is about ABS ecu/ sensors
After reading the advice here about removing the ecu. It states check the ABS sensors for dust etc first. Where are the sensors and are they easy to get at. :-?
I really hope I have crap on the sensors as it will save me a lot of work. :'(
Also I know its not electrical but how do you fix the new hand brake button? [smiley=dankk2.gif]

sensors are easy to get to on rear see a cog near to dif each side sensors there, front may need some lube to remove the bolt on each side but just follow the thick black wire and it on the end,..

The low beam FLD warning is not an MOT fail - they check your lights are correctly aimed and if ok pass it.  Had this fault on the Estate last 2 MOTs and not even an advisory re this.  Must get round to sorting it out.

Will be if the ECU points the lights at the ground (the fail safe position)
