I have TIS on my pc but having difficulty in getting at a wiring diagram for the Park Pilot reversing sensor system on my Elite 3.2 2002 model (2001 reg). The VX dealer had no diagram either (allegedly).
All I am after is advice on the 2 wiring loom connector slots which go into ecu behind spare wheel - is one exclusively for link to sensors and the other for all other wires including live.
part no for ecu is 0263004011 which VX tells me is working fine.
If I disconnect the connector which DOES NOT contain the live feed the fault tone still sounds. Does this mean I can safely assume that sensors are not the issue (again VX claimed to have tested sensors and deemed ok)?

I will have a look later if you like. :y

Thanks Kevin - I have taken ecu out for now - I suspect a wire fault but no sparks around here seem interested. Need to ensure VX gave me right info regarding ecu and sensors being ok.

Most of the faults I have ever found are with the sensors, disconnect the two inner ones first, and run it a s a "single sensor "system, then the inside two, and see where the fault is. The control box is rarely at fault, and sensors are easily got hold of, IMHO.

Just managed to find a wiring diagram at an ex VX dealer - (my copy of TIS 2000 does not have diagrams so will update)
This confirms that one of the 2 slots is exclusively for the sensors. The fault tone comes on even when sensors not connected.
Just wondering if the audible alarm is actually faulty if I can find it - this runs off the power feed into ecu.
No doubt hidden behind trim on passenger side

Speaker unit for the park pilot is behind the trim on the passenger C post just above the rear seat belt upper mount At least it was on the one I removed.

As an aside ... can the Tech2 "read" the Park Pilot system at all ??
Mine is playing up so much I've unplugged the speaker !! Be nice to know where to start diagnosing the problem.

I have just pm'd Kevin Wood to see if he can do some Tech 2 stuff in next couple of days.
I have code 0420 (but no light now) code 1700 (but running fine if you restart after spanner light appears), Parkpilot acting up, headlamp range comes on now and then (but no problem).
I am not scheduled to be anywhere this weekend (at least for now) - so may have a further go at this.
Basis other posts - just wondering if gear selector could be affecting the code 1700 and Parkpilot - although if parking just runs off reversing lights then not logical. Annoying stuff.
