I'm guessing that all the backlight bulbs have blown.

Mine has been almost impossible to read in daylight so I pulled the instruments out yesterday to check and found that 3 of the 4 bulbs were blown and the one that was working was almost black.

Went to the stealers today and bought 4 new bulbs. £7.40 :o

Thats fixed it :y

No.

On most Omegas turning on the radio will blank one line of the display and replace it with text from the radio. Turning the radio off doesn't switch the display off.

On cars with NCDC satnav units the steering wheel controls switch what is shown on the display via the head unit. If the head unit is missing the display still works but you can't select what you want to display. A CDX probably wouldn't have an NCDC headunit.

For MID, climate or dash illumination bulbs, I would strongly recommend using new bulbs, as the shocks involved in removing the components will most likely cause others to fail.

MID/Climate bulbs are 98p + VAT trade (around £1.15 + VAT retail) from dealer. Not been able to find cheaper elsewhere yet
