HI I have a 2.0cd w reg with i believe MID display top shows trip/check etc bottom shows time and middle shows date when radio not on and cd/radio channel when on. The problem is the middle does not show anything when radio on but when switched off the date displays. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Many thanks John

There are generally two versions of Vauxhall vehicle displays, one with 8 Digits and one with 10 Digits. If you connect this stereo to the wrong display, code entry is possible, but the display will either freeze or dissappear once the code has been entered. To reprogram, Turn off the Radio, Press and Hold Presets "3" & "5" at the same time, whilst switching the radio back on, and this will toggle between the two display modes.

Facelifts all have 10 digit type I believe. AFAIK, CDR2005 only does 10 digit?

Thinking asbout it, the TIDs may be 8 digit as well.
Worth a try, nought to lose :y

May be worth a trip to MDTM, see if Tech2 can pick anything up - though I suspect both the radio and the display will complain of no communication with other...

Are you sure that you didn't fix a poor connection at the back of the radio by removing it and re-inserting it?
