you need to get a decent fm transmitter cheapo crapo ones from eBay are not up to the job. DaveDND sells one which quite a few members use, and works well :y

i use an oldschool tape adaptor, more realiable than a trasmitter

If you repeated bash it with a hammer, it may fit the cdr2005's cd slot ;D ;D ;D
To OP, no (easy) way to wire it in...

I am stunned as to how many Oofers have now bought these from me - you guys seem to love this one

Check the specs on the mixers/amp IC/s in the unit - there may potentially be an unused input on them that something could be rigged up to. Failing that, maybe added some kind of mixer/switch between one of the source (eg, CD player) and the amp.
Suspect if the question has to be asked, then that is classed as 'no easy way' ;)

I have one, it works better than most. My biggest complaint is I wish it had more choice of frequencies, as finding an unused one to cover the journeys I do often is proving slightly challenging.
For those with NCDC radios, pop it into diagnostics mode, go to tuner, tune to radio 2 (which is the only station that is on same frequency range this device uses), and look at the alternate frequencies listing at bottom of screen - that should help find a free frequency :y
