Hi all, will a 300 amp jump starter be enough to start a miggy?
I saw this at maplin http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=353865
and thought it would be great for camping and so on.

If you're going to get one, get one with some decent power ... I've had one of these a while and it has started many a 4X4 on the rally field .. never used it on the Omega yet ....

As entwood says get a decent one the maplin one is ok for a small engine I would say up to 2.0l petrol.
as for camping I spent £80 on a good leisure battery (110amp) it lasts longer :y

The Maplin one can't even start a 1.8 Mondeo (hell, it barely has enough grunt to start a 750cc Honda).
You want one with at least double the CCA to spin a V6 over.

Got to agree - avoid the Maplin one
