On Saturday I fitted my detacable towbar, then got onto the wiring. Found the multi connector plug in the rear panel and checked which was what wire with a multi meter. All ok is except the brake lights. Now I think I have the right wire black/yellow in the plug is the same as goes to the brake lights.
Problem is it has no +12v on it when brake pedal is depressed. car brake lights work ok and the black/yellow to the trailer socket goes into the loom and travels towards the front of the car.

Now I am assuming the other end needs to be connected somehow.

Car is 2003 2.6 CDX saloon.

 Thank You.

The wiring plug in the boot is wired via a 'relay' base for a 'Trailer check control' relay which, on your car is behind your glove box (preface lift above driver's feet) You either need to fit the 'relay' (sub £20) or bridge the terminals of the base behind the glove box. If you search hard enough, I've posted the details a few times.  :y  :y   :y

 I'll see what I can find....  ;)
