Hi dose any one know how to fix F Range on display, just put a new display in and it says F Range, put old one back in thinking it was the new one at fault but dose the same thing for what can see as the pixels are nearly gone, ever thing else is working temp speed etc, and the fuel gauge is working any help thanks :)

Isn't the fuel range calculated from your average fuel consumption?
Until you drive somewhere it won't have an average to base its calculation on.

it keeps coming on when driving, had a frend test it said intermittent high volts, checked plug on back but the are all seated, dont know wire code, thought when pulled dash out may of pulled a wire out some were but cannot find another plug??

Is fuel gauge working ?

Is fuel gauge working ?
yes still working, looked in haynes and the wiring code is wrong with the wires so got me stumped, you know the 1, 2, 3 etc.??? says in book that there is a wire that gose off the line the fuel gauge to the display with a resister, but cannot find the branch off the wire, nor were the resister is.

Sit with the car at idle and preferably at night so its nice and dark. Put headlamps on and watch the display. Does it flicker slightly?
If so, your alternator may not be charging correctly.
You can ignore everything I've just written and check the battery voltage at rest and under load, but I like to be difficult. :P

hello again theres a 5 pin board on back of the speedo were the fuel gauge go's to could that be were the fault maybe as with the dash out says no signal, then put it back in high volts intermiternt,???

Update, went down a bumpy road and the F Range went to 0 Range then back to F and repeted this, feel sure some thing is loose some were.

Are you sure you have put the original MID back in?, F and 0 come up if the MID has been swapped for a manual to auto, or visa versa.

tryed new and old both doing same, if could find the wire wire to test to mid as am sure one wire is not connected, must of pulled it out, cannot find were the brown and white wire goes 3 go to radio and other one cannot find were it goes all brown wires go to earth??

Hi have found the problem but it has damaged the mid, the board on the back of the rev counter had gone were the fuel gauge gose throgh it sending volts to high have changed it and the old mid works on range but the new one dose not just say 441 then F, also have found out what the brown and white wire is for its for tec2 signal and one black wire is the other, tryed to find what part has gone on the display but cannot see it, so going to leave it for now until the screen gose and have to get another, at least its stopped flashing that there is hight volt.
