Could any of you guys tell me if the 2003 Omega uses the CAN bus/Multiplex system on the lighting wiring, i have a Valeo automatic lights on/off kit and it says that the dash lights may not come on if on the above system when the lights come on automatically.
It also gives you 3 wiring diagrams, 2 are for Positive wiring and 1 is for negative wiring, the latter is more complicated, any advice on which i should follow, positive or negative, this stumped me a bit.:-/

Think it`s only these, Corsa D all use canbus
Astra H all use canbus
Zafira B all use canbus
Vectra C 02-04 use half canbus,all05 on use full canbus
Signum A 02-04 use half canbus, all 05 on use full canbus
Meriva upto 04 half canbus, all 05 on use full canbus

AFAIK the Omega is CANBUS free (with one exception).
The exception being the link between an NCDC head unit and its graphics display. A little extra loom that only connects the screen and head unit and doesn't talk to any other component in the car...

Hmmm. Omega is not classed as CAN, but there are a couple of CAN systems onboard (though not a proper implementation).
The chatter between engine and gearbox is a form of CAN.
The protocol between CCRT and NCDC ICE units, and their displays and CD Changers is CAN

I HAVE an Omega 2003 and I HAVE a Valeo automatic lights on/off installed on it and all work perfectly, no CAN bus present on the lighting wiring, don't worry ;)
