OK I know what the problem is and have tried a couple of solutions, just wondered if anyone has had the same problem and overcome it.
2.0L GLS Radio - no power. take it out, refit in carrier, works for a week and then stops again, same problem, I have;
Ensured the clips are in place to stop the radio moving in the carrier....
Pushed in the back of the carrier....
Bent over bits on the front of the carrier so the radio fits in further, but not much.....
Thought about putting a bolt in the radio and fastening to the carrier but looks like I can not take off the back of the radio....
New thoughts, either
cut out the back of the carrier and just plug directly into the back of radio....
Is there a point at the back of the radio I can safely put a small screw in. therefore screwing the carrier into the radio.......
Someone must have had this problem before, this car has given the evidence of radio removal...... any suggestions, swmbo giving me earache...... ::) ::)

Check the pins in the multi-plugs, make sure they`re all tight fitting. Logically you are removing radio which may be pulling a loose pin back tight into the connector
