Oky doki!
Picked me up a '99 T 3.0 Elite Auto A/C saloon today. One or two little niggles but well chuffed nevertheless.
The car has been laid up for several months subsequently one of the flies in the ointment is that the battery was an oem Vauxhall branded battery and has seen far better days & fails to hold charge. Dropped it out when I got home, popped onto my charger and it has blown two 20A fuses on the charger. >:( Methinks the battery is goosed.
So with the battery being goosed, will be getting another tomorrow but this leaves me with the unsavoury task of recoding the CCRT 700 & the Blaupunkt CD changer. But lo & behold, the car pass in the driver's pack does not bear any reference to whats fitted in the car >:(
So the question is what's gonna be the best way of retrieving the codes for these? (other than being fleeced of hard earned greenbacks at the stealers?)

Might be worth pulling the units out ... not unheard of for the codes to be written on the units in marker pen .. :)

Dave DND links above for codes, or if you are planning on getting more keys at any point, might be worth shopping around various dealers for carpasses (vary from £20 to £50 depending on how much of a scumbag your dealer is)

Does the VIN number on the car pass match the VIN of the vehicle?
Not much point in paying for a copy if it does :-/

Blimey!!
Ripoff!!! ;D ;D
My local dealer got me the codes the following day (paper printout) and a proper car pass arrived at my home address 10 days later!! cost me £20 + VAT.
They were most helpful!!
(must say, most unusual for a Dealer!!!) :o

Hmmm....and I was quoted £44 plus VAT at a Milton Keynes dealership...needless to say I told them where to go and multiply !! ;D What a rip off ! Trading Standards officers should invade the Vauxhall dealerships and take them to task for blatant customer rip offs.
