Title: Replacing Crank Sensor

Hi all - I've been having starting problems on and off recently and decided to replace the crank sensor and while doing so I unintentionally pulled out a single wire that has a spade crimp connector on it, can anyone tell me where it connects to?  [smiley=undecided.gif]

The check emmissions light had also been coming on generating codes 0420 & 0430, can a faulty crank sensor cause this?

Is it usually the cable that goes faulty or is it the sensor itself? - was thinking it might be possible to replace a section of the cable.

ps - It's the 3.2 V6 I'm talking about.

sounds like your temperature sensor, connects in the back of the valley.

those 420/430 are normal on a 3.2.....you can move the lambda sensors to get rid of the code with some drilling and welding  :y  we have a guide in the how 2 section.

Crank sensor is bolted just below oil filter, connector is at rear of engine near "lifting eye"

I'm talking about where the temperature sensor connects - the crank sensor is done.
