Title: cdr500 does not work

I have a 1994 omega 2.5 diesel with a delco cdr500 cd playuer.
The battery has been off several times recently and the radio always worked when it was replaced,
Now, however it will not. when I switch it on a light appears and then goes out, so it is not the fuse. It does not ask for a code,
Can anybody help?

pull radio out  and check the plug may just have a lose plug or corroded abit, had same problem with mine years ago, plug gone white on the copper.
